A few times a year, my family will drive down the Pacific Coast Highway to Costa Mesa for the Orange County Market Place. It's a giant, outdoors swap meet with upscale items.
I enjoy a good swap meet from time to time, but only if it isn't dirty and grungy. I don't want to leave the place feeling like I need a shower! No such thing here! It's such a large space and there's free parking! There is also preferred parking for $8, but I never like to pay for parking, so I always choose to walk a bit.
This Costa Mesa swap meet is only open on the weekends, so prepare for an influx in people-- it gets very crowded! Keep the kids close. They don't allow food or drink inside the venue, they check, so bring extra cash for snacks. The food is good! The next even is on March 31st & again on April 8th, so be sure to check it out!
You'll find everything from handmade beauty product (my favorite!) to handcrafted artisan pieces to antique furniture! There is something for everyone here and it's all nice stuff!
They don't allow pets in, unless it is a service animal, so be prepared to leave your furry kiddo at home!
Stand right up front.
A sea of people!
The kids with slushies last time we went down.
In need of some new luggage?
Entrance to the swap meet
Bacon wrapped hot dog!
Always beautiful art to see.
