Apparently, Roadkill Doesn't Count As Wildlife Photography. What a Joke.

My photography group is full of such hypocrites. The theme for this quarter's photos was wildlife photography, and I thought I had this one in the bag for the exhibition showcase.
But no, because apparently roadkill doesn't count as a wildlife photo. That's simply absurd. If animals outside don't count as wildlife photography, what does? It cant be because they're dead, because I've seen enough artsy photos of skeletons and bones to last a lifetime. It cant be because there were raccoons either.
Joshua brought in a photo of raccoons on top of his trash cans when the theme was urban photography and everybody loved it. I am starting to think they just like Joshua, not his photos.
If I knew this photography group was going to just be a popularity contest, I never would have joined. The lighting and framing on my piece "Squirrel's Final Resting Place" was perfect!
Clearly the people in my group have a narrow view of what great art is. These people have no sense of tragedy or dark beauty. They should go back to taking pictures of babies in flowerpots or covered in spaghetti. They're not ready for my art, for my artistic voice. People need to learn to reach outside of their comfort zones.
My entries for this quarter's showcase had real thought and emotion in them. "What Was Within, Now Without" and "Anatomical Rainbow" are wasted on these plebeian photography people.
This is just rocks and water, nothing
This is just rocks and water, nothing "living" in sight.
Clearly violent things can fall under

Apparently non-mammalian death is a-okay. Hypocrites!

Obviously insects count as wildlife, even carrion ones. I had those!
