The Stanley Cup is fascinating. It's been stolen, and people have attempted to steal it, throughout the ages. In 1962, there was a man from Montreal who attempted to walk out of the Chicago stadium with it.
The Cup was on display for the defending Black Hawk champions. Ken Kilander attempted to walk right out the front door with it under his arms (how he got it in the first place is a mystery. Maybe it wasn't heavily guarded at the time?) and when he was stopped by a cop, all he said was. “I want to take it back where it belongs, to Montreal." Well okay!
