I'm a family man these days and the older I get the more I realize I'm becoming my parents. The latest humbling realization happened when I accepted the fact that I really wanted a family photo shoot.
I used to think that family photo shoots were so incredibly corny. Any attempt my parents made was met with an eye roll. Now I'm receiving that same treatment from my own kids and the irony isn't lost upon me. But I won't be denied, we're going to get a great family put on camera no matter what.
“I used to think that family photo shoos were so... corny.”
I'm a child of the 70s so I experienced analog cameras and film in my youth and lived through the revolution of digital cameras in my early adulthood. Now that I'm in my 40s I look back at my early life with nostalgia.
I am way late to the DSLR game. Refusing it for years, I was strictly a film photographer. I loved the art of film photography and developing, thinking DLSR was too easy and took all the fun out of the art. I was wrong.
