I've been playing "Fortnite" for a while now, but when they launched "Fortnite: Battle Royale" in September 2017. This newer "version" of the original game is by far one of the best upgrades.
The game is free-to-play, with an intra-system of currency used to buy cosmetic upgrades for the avatar, etc. Basically, 100 players (single or team) parachute onto the map (really the only constant thing about the game) and you have to find weapons, shelter, etc to be the last surviving avatar or team playing.
Every time you parachute in, everything in each area of the game has been randomly put there; i.e., weapons are in different spots. You have to kill people in order to be the last one
standing at the end of the game. If that isn't stressful (re: fun) enough, the "safe zone" in the game gets smaller and smaller as you play, effectively pushing people outside the edges
