I started doing hatha yoga as a way to release tension and get back to basics in my body. I tend to be "too busy". I was coerced into trying it from a friend who said it changed her life.
The practice is supposed to calm the mind, body, & soul in preparation for meditation. I'm not one for meditation, but a busy life has unbalanced every part of me, and it's time for me to learn. Better late than never, right? I've been practicing hatha yoga for a few months now and I feel it's been a bright spot for me. I'm definitely more relaxed now.
