My cousin teaches yoga so I've been to a few of her classes. And I did maternity yoga or prenatal yoga or whatever when I was pregnant. But seriously, I just don't get it.
Do I not have the mental discipline for yoga or something? I find it so incredibly dull. I'd rather take any other exercise class than yoga. Is yoga hard? Sure, I leave the class feeling like I got a workout and everything. But it's not a fun workout for me. Why do people obsess over it?
I also suck at meditating so maybe I'm just not good at stillness. There are a thousand other exercise activities I love : hiking, swimming, kayaking, boating, dancing, climbing.
With those exercises I feel like I'm really moving and doing something, not just switching body positions. I love using my brain while exercising, like learning a dance routine.
