When I built my first model car kit, I was ten years old. My grandfather came to visit for Christmas, unveiling it as my gift. At first, I had no idea where to start. There were so many parts!
He soon taught me how to read the instructions carefully in order to build it to the best of our ability the first time around. He was a patient man, but inpatient when it came to making mistakes! He taught me that being thorough and meticulous are always good traits to have when it comes to building things worth investing in.
While I do not fanatically collect model car kits, I always enjoy seeing them in vintage toy stores around the county, or seeing them online. I bought my son's first model car kit!
It's special to me because it reminds me of all the great times I have had with my grandfather. Being able to relive those moments with my own son has been so rewarding and beneficial.
