I'm currently in Greece in vacation with my family. Usually when I'm on vacation I like to relax on the beach, by the pool or at a restaurant. My husband is more of the learning type. He loves taking tours.
So that's exactly what we did yesterday. We went to all of the historic sites in Greece in almost 24 hours. Well, it felt like we went to all of them. We visited a historic temple that housed a gorgeous statue of a gold god. The naos was fabulous as well. There was a guard who monitored the temple day and night. Taking a tour was a great idea.
I took my class on an art trip to Pittsburgh in the Fall. They complained that it should be New York, but I told them they would be surprised by what Pittsburgh had to offer. It's the birth place of Andy Warhol!
I'm a recent New York transplant from Los Angeles. I grew up in Pasadena but spent most of my free time in Downtown LA pursuing my passion for photography. Downtown was my favorite place in all of Los Angeles.
"In all matters, but particularly in architecture, there are two points: the thing signified, and that which gives it significance…it appears, then, he who professes to be an architect should be well-versed in both.
