I went to Musicfest in Steamboat, Colorado for the first time in January and it was some of the most fun I've ever had! I've made a promise to myself to do more thing and have more fun.
So, when I saw Musicfest advertised, I figured, "Why not?"! I found a friend of mine who also was interested and her and I signed up for the six days of music and skiing. Our hotel was beautiful and comfortable, the local restaurants were superb, and the music was out of this world! But the skiing... that was my favorite part.
I hadn't been skiing in years! Seriously, maybe in a decade or so? I wasn't sure if it would be like riding a bike, where you can just pick it back up and go again. It took me a few rounds on the bunny hill, but the finesse came back in no time! I wasn't skiing down black diamond hills, or anything, but it was really fun.
After a day of skiing, we'd relax in a bar and listen to some amazing music. This festival is such an amazing combo of activity and hanging out. You burn calories and then eat them!
I would absolutely do Musicfest again. I just checked out the website and reservations are coming soon! I can't wait!
It was packed everywhere.
At an outdoor stage (not my photo).
Inside a venue. So packed!
Some of the line up this year.
Seeing Charley Crockett.
Our hotel. Absolutely stunning.
