I'm a total outdoor lover and in terms of landscapes for vacations, I like camping in the mountains the best. Beach vacations are a close second, thanks to Molly my fiancee.
Molly booked a trip to Aruba for the 2 of us. It's outside of the hurricane belt and it's really, really hot and damn dry. I mean, it rains so little there that they desalinize their water for drinking. It's also windy as hell there - perfect for kite-surfing. Anyway, those factors kind of guarantee a perfect beach vacation.
Aruba water is warm, shallow and calm, and its beaches have sugary soft white sand. The water is aqua and clear and so refreshing. So now that Molly's turned me on to how amazing a beach vacation can be, I can't get enough and I need to go to more beaches. So I made a bucket list of beaches I have to visit.
Here's how I came up with them. First, water temp is important. California has amazingly wide beaches but the Pacific water is damn cold and the waves can get gnarly.
So I look for beaches where water's around 80 degrees Farenheit. You'll be comfortably warm but still refreshed.
Boracay Island in the Philippines
Whitsunday Island, Queensland, Aus
Palm Island, Dubai
Bora Bora, Tahiti
