Every Christmas, I always had at least two things to look forward to: gifts from my parents and my grandmother's Frumenty. While it is very similar to oatmeal, it's a traditional meal with our Celtic family.
We still practice the old Celtic ways of eating frumenty for part of our Christmas meal, and it never disappoints. We had it more as a breakfast, and she would always top it with different berries, nuts, and used oranges sometimes too! It was always really delicious, but I don't know how to recreate it! She recently passed away without teaching me.
“It was always really delicious, but I can't recreate it!”
I was at Cut restaurant in Las Vegas the first time I tasted chilean sea bass. I was 28 and my dad insisted on taking me there. But we had just eaten at Tom Colicchio's Craft Steakhouse the night before so I wasn't feeling steak.
