I have an interesting confession. Well, maybe it's not that interesting, but I have an obsession with collecting pens. Specifically, rollerball pens. There are so many types of pens!
Rollerball pens are my favorite because of how smoothly they glide! I tried fountain pens. I was attracted to their sleekness and the "prestige" of them. They're so fancy, but they are so difficult to write with. I love pens, but they do serve a purpose and that is to write things down and if I can't accomplish that, then no.
There's something super fun about the little ball at the tip pushing in a bit when you're writing with the pen. Most people don't think about that when they write with a pen. It wasn't anything I had paid attention to until a few years ago when we were writing invitations to our 40th wedding anniversary in 2012.
Gosh, how time flies. I had wanted to learn calligraphy with a fountain pen, but gave up after a few tries. Morty & I decided to not make it more difficult. We just wanted to celebrate.
My pen collection has amassed more than 50 pens! The grandkids know that's what I like, so they just keep buying them.

I need to find a pen set for my niece, who is ten. I've been researching a bit as to what she might like, but this is the most boring present she's ever asked for. I can't judge too much; she loves to draw.
