As an avid camper, people always ask me if I have any special camping tips or tricks to my adventures. I don't think that getting technical is the way to go, so I have basic guidelines.
Make sure you pack enough supplies. Double up on non-perishable foods, clothing items, water proof matches, batteries, toilet paper, etc. Those little items can run out or fail easily, so it's best to have more than you think you might need. Clean up after yourself right away when you're done eating. No need for bears.
Be mindful of the weather forecast. Check and double check before you go, and then bring the adverse of what it says, just in case. I think it's incredibly important to go with the flow out there. You might have a whole plan for your camping trip; with lots of activities prepared. Anything can happen in nature.
The weather can change at the drop of a dime, so don't get too upset if something doesn't go according to plan. It's okay! If you're someone that likes to plan, think up contingencies.
Lastly, have fun! That's the number one reason to go camping; to relax and enjoy while you get to spend time outdoors.
Camping by yourself can be fun.
Not a bad idea to make a list!
Make sure to clean up after yourselves right away!
A good campsite is everything.
No need for bears!
Remember to relax and enjoy!
Double check your camping gear.
“... it's incredibly important to go with the flow out there.”
A camping backpack is a smart idea.
