Apparently people are happily forking over tens to hundreds to thousands of dollars for chunks of the Berlin wall. This strikes me as strange, as pieces of this wall are not by any stretch of the imagination, rare.
This wall was huge, and the only pieces of it with any real value are those with art or graffiti on them. This street art is a captured voice of the people at the time, and many such slabs of the wall can be seen at various museums around the world. A chunk of concrete does not a historical artifact make. Spend your money elsewhere.
40 dollars will get you this collector's edition, wall chunk included.
Slabs of wall with meaningful art on them.

Why isn't anyone interested in collecting the barbed wire?
