My high school Physics teacher used to preach that "Physics is PHun!" It's amazing how right he was. Physics plays a critical role in every sport people play, from cycling to skateboarding to hockey.
My favorite display of Physics is in the sport of baseball. For example, the distance a baseball travels depends on two primary factors: The angle at which the ball leaves the bat and how fast the ball is hit. The speed of the ball depends on both the speed of the pitch and the speed of the bat. And then there's gravity pulling the ball down.

Physics can also tell us the force the catcher will absorb on this pitch!

Many Forces are at Work Determining the Distance and Force of a Ball.
Physics can also tell us how many baseballs can fit in that container.
