Maybe I'm getting too old but these debates over which Christmas Movie is the best seem pointless. It's always the same 5 movies debated: Christmas Story, Elf, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation and It's a Wonderful Life.
And at this point, we've all seen these movies dozens and dozens of time. Many of us know all of these films by heart. And many of us will watch all of them, plus the other common ones, at least once during the holidays. So stop with the debate and just accept that these top 5 are here to stay awhile, no matter what order in which you prefer them.
A Christmas Story
“There's no debate when they're all watched ad nauseum.”
WATCH. This is kind of a no-brainer: there are a lot of animated films but only one of them wins best animated picture each year. This one did, for 2017, and it was well worth it. So refreshing to see Mexican culture portrayed in mainstream American media too.
"You are traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone!" The opening credits to The Twilight Zone read by Rod Sterling.
