My daughter recently started becoming interested in bird watching. So that means I've started bird watching as well. Seems like there wouldn't be much too it, but there is.
First thing we had to do was figure out our budget. My daughter is 12 years old. She is a responsible young lady so our budget was a little bigger than most. Once we figured that out we had to choose a magnification. This will help you determine whether you would like a narrow point of view, darker, wider, brighter etc.
This was a choice I left up to my daughter. We tested several models to make sure we were buying the right one. So we stopped by several different store and bought a few from Amazon too. Clarity and crispness is something else to factor in. If lens visibility is unclear it would be best to choose another binocular.
My daughter wears glasses so we were sure to double check that her binoculars had eye relief. Her binoculars have eye cups that retract to accommodate her glasses. We found a winner.
It took us a while to find the right pair. In this kind of hobby it's important to make sure your gear is right.
“We found a winner.”
