Living in San Diego has afforded my family and I to be able to explore so many things that the outdoors has to offer! Whether it's hiking or boating or camping, we love it all.
My wife and I have recently added kayaking to our ever growing list of outdoor activities that we enjoy. The first time we went out in a tandem kayak, we both noticed how cold our hands got and how blistered they became from all of the rowing. So, we immediately went to REI and found ourselves some pretty great kayak gloves.
We wanted to make sure that they fit well under lots of movement and that they would be durable enough to last through many kayaking adventures together. We've been out several times and I've only forgotten my gloves once. Pretty great, considering I'm so forgetful! I keep our gloves in the car now so we don't forget them.
We've found a kayaking group that we're about to meet up with next week. We're pretty excited to make some new friends who also enjoy this activity! We enjoy meeting new people.
The girls expressed interest in kayaking with us when they come home during their Spring Break. Could be fun as a family!

My family and I recently went to the Long Beach boat show two weeks ago (March 9th). We live in Malibu and have our own sail boat and kayak and we all enjoy being on the water, so I thought it would be a fun thing for us to do together.
I've been researching rowboats for a boating trip and canoes keep coming up, so I'm guessing that they're the same thing? I've been canoeing, which I enjoyed, so I'll be comfortable on this trip. It's nice and relaxed!
"I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, except I think it is because in addition to the fact that the sea changes and the light changes, it is because we all came from the sea.
