I started cycling for fun when I was a child. Then one day, I realized it was something more than just a hobby. My hobby became my motivation to rise in the morning.
Every weekend I get together with a group of riders and we explore new trails outside of the city. It's quite an adventure because you never know what kind of path you'll end up on since most trails aren't paved in the world of cross-country cycling (mountain biking). Knowing there is something new to see on each path keeps me excited for the next ride.
A path to call your own

Having a bike computer isn't vital, but it sure is helpful. During long or short rides you can track your pace with speed, power, heart rate and other performance metrics. It sure beats doing an estimated guess halfway through the ride. Find a waterproof tracker and enjoy a ride in the rain.
Living in Los Angeles can be overwhelming and congested. So it's always nice to getaway sometimes and explore outside the city. My transport of choice is my mountain bike. Each weekend take off for a new adventure.
