Wooden kayaks are beautiful and the mastery it takes to make them is mind-boggling. I always wished I was a good at carpentry. Spoiler alert: I am not. While they are absolutely stunning, they freak me out.
I won't get in one. I'm not sure why I have such an aversion to wooden kayaks. I've been racking my brain to try and remember if I had an adverse experience as a child, but I can't come up with anything. I think I just don't trust them. Like, I feel it's paper and it will get saturated and then I would sink to the bottom. This is silly, I realize this.
Not me, but it's such amazing work.
Even the dog can do it!
