First to EVER land the 900.
In the sixth X Games, Tony Hawk, 27-years-old at the time, became the first skateboarder ever to land the 900. Hawk was a hyperactive child growing up, so his parents gifted him his first skateboard when he was 9-years-old. From that moment on, Hawk was a skateboarding prodigy and began getting sponsored at age 12. He was the National Skateboard Association world champion for 12 consecutive years. Hawk broke records doing what he loves -- “I won’t stop skating until I’m physically unable.”
