The most famous scene in Casablanca, and arguably one of the most famous film scenes of all time is when Rick makes Ilsa board the plane to Lisbon, telling her that if she stays, she'll regret it—"Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life." The entire movie was shot in the Warner Bros. studios in Burbank. So, contrary to popular belief, the plane wasn't a real plane. It was a prop created specifically for the film. The cinematic fog in the scene is there to help obscure the less than legitimate prop Lockheed Electra 12A airplane. A real Lockheed Electra 12A would have never fit inside the soundstage!
