Word Processing, Helping People, Bothering People
"It looks like you're browsing PASHpost. Would you like help?" Microsoft Office Assistant (or "Clippy" as he's commonly called) is a familiar, if not unwelcome sight to anyone that used a computer in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Clippy is universally panned, even today. Just look at him, with his weirdly smug eyes and casually bent posture, resting on a single sheet of yellow notebook paper. "Clippy" isn't even his real name! It's actually "Clippit". Apple users, don't think you're above this. Clippy was designed by Kevan J. Atteberry on a Macintosh computer. Clippy wasn't the only Office Assistant available, but he was the default one, so he gets the brunt of the criticisms.
