Astronomy, Physics, Making new friends
The Earth has a friend tagging along with it and the Moon as it orbits the sun, and it's called (469219) 2016 HO3. This "quasi-moon" technically orbits the Sun, but it does so in style, ducking and weaving around the Earth as both objects orbit the Sun. The quasi-moon isn't content to settle down with the Earth in a regular planet/moon relationship. Instead, it prefers to keep things casual, always being around but never too close. This relationship is unlikely to change, as it's been around for at least a century, and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. (469219) 2016 HO3 isn't nearly as catchy a name as "The Moon", but maybe this ambitious little asteroid will get a proper name someday.
