Sometimes you want to shake things up a bit. But you know what you really don't want to shake up? A can of soda, that's what. In the mid 1980s, Coca-Cola felt the need to reinvent itself. After countless hours of intense research and focus groups, the name for this new and improved beverage ended up being "New Coke". People were quick to point out how they missed the old Coke, and today "New Coke" is remembered as the cola company's biggest failure. After "Coca-Cola Classic" hit store shelves, what was once known as "New Coke" was now being bottled and sold as "Coke II". Today, New Coke and Coke II are no longer obtainable. Perhaps it's best some things remain forgotten.
