Whether you know him as one of pro wrestling's all-stars, or as the rhyming giant Fezzik from the movie "The Princess Bride", André René Roussimoff touched the hearts of many. Going by the moniker André the Giant, his 7'4'' stature made him a natural in the ring. At one point, he was the highest paid pro wrestler in the world, making roughly 400,000 dollars a year in the mid 1970s. André's gigantism was evident from an early age. He grew up on a farm in France, and was said to be able to the do the work of three men. People who knew André tended to describe him as a generous, gentle person. André died in 1993 at the age of 46 due to health issues linked to his enormous size.
