Cats, Pets, Animals
Since 2005, October 29th has been observed as National Cat Day. Originally created to spread awareness of the large volume of cats living in shelters. Animal shelters often have more cats than they know what to do with, and National Cat Day suggests you help them out by adopting one of their fine felines, or donating to a charity that supports cats. Cat fans are a dedicated bunch, and have created a vibrant, welcoming community. If the CatCon in Pasadena California is any indicator, the love for cats is strong and growing. National Cat Day is a great excuse to surround yourself with all things cat, even if the official website is suspiciously pro Blue Buffalo brand cat food.
