Some films are so great, they become legends in their own right. These movies are referenced countless times across all forms of media, and even if you haven't seen them, you likely still know about them. Casablanca is one of these movies, having premiered today in 1942 at the Hollywood Theatre in California. The film released to mostly positive reviews, and walked away from the 16th Academy Awards with 3 Oscars, including best original screenplay and outstanding motion picture. Almost immediately after release, there were talks of producing a sequel. The proposed follow-up was titled "Brazzaville", but it never saw production. Even today, there have been talks of remaking the classic film.
