"Rudolph, with your nose so bright Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?" - Santa
When it comes to Christmas icons, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is most certainly on the A-list. Originally created by Robert L. May, Rudolph's popularity as a character and story continued to rise. An animated television special and chart-topping song further cemented Rudolph in the cultural zeitgeist. Rudolph's story is a simple one. He's different from the other reindeer, and because of this they make fun of him. Santa notices Rudolph's unusual nose and to the surprise of the other reindeer, asks Rudolph to guide his sleigh. Everyone can relate to Rudolph's story in some way or another, and this accessible story mixed with one catchy Christmas jingle makes for a timeless classic.
